Using affirmations as part of your guided meditation experience
May 24, 2008 – 6:56 pmDo you have an unusual or new way to use affirmations for self healing? I’d love to hear from you in the comments. As you may know, every thought and inner statement creates a physiological response. Listening to affirmations (and I also repeat them either silently or vocally) helps you learn to better choose your thoughts. Regular listening to mind-healing, positive affirmations can help you in your resolve to strengthen and empower your will to choose your own life experience.
Of course you can use affirmations any way you like:
- You might say one of them over and over as a form of meditation.
- You can read one and then just contemplate it as the focus of your meditation.
- A great way to use affirmations is to write one in your journal. Contemplate its meaning in your life, then journal about your meditation experience with that affirmation. You can keep a daily log, adding a new affirmation with each entry.
- You can listen to affirmation CDs. Take the step to enlist the unlimited power of your mind to assist you in the manifestation of your life’s dreams with this daily positive affirmations CD.
- Or something new–tell me what you’re doing with affirmations!
You’ll find other recommendations in these DVDs presented by Rev. Steven Clevenger.
Louise Hays, perhaps most famous for teaching us to use affirmations for healing, has a new video which I also recommend. This DVD includes not only the original 90-minute movie, but an Affirmation Toolkit to access practical, inspiring affirmations directly from Louise. The affirmation topics cover self, relationships, health and wellness, prosperity, and work. You can practice, learn, and apply these affirmations creatively to your own life, including as I have suggested in the bonus I’ve included in my 3 month email course, The Meditation Portal.
Another CD album to help you learn to trust in your own healing power is full of exercises that I know you will also enjoy.
