Buddhist doctrine was first articulated by the Buddha (ca. 563 BCE to ca. 483 BCE). The establishment of a self-conscious field of Budhist psychology as the empirical assessment of human mental activities and behavior is often identified with the work of Wilhelm Wundt (August 16, 1832 – August 31, 1920).
Today, Jack Kornfield, Ph.D. is both trained as a Buddhist monk and in clinical psychology who teaches both the concepts and the practice of buddhism and mind, and provides a clear understanding of a Buddhism-informed psychology that can be applied to everyday living.
In this inspired audio series, part one of an entire audio set, you’ll have a glimpse at what Kornfield teaches as it applies to Buddhist psychology.
