Meditation Montage: meditation tips, trends and lore…

about meditation montage About

Meditation Montage’s Mission

To encourage spiritual growth through learning and experience.

Meditation Montage’s Vision

To promote open dialog about the path.

Meditation is a universal method of aligning your mind and body to be present in the moment. Although no spiritual path is necessary to practice it, all the world’s traditions are rich in historical teachings and each has a place in its evolution. Meditation is not found only in Buddhism or Hinduism, but also has spiritual or traditional origins in Judaic-Christian, Muslim, American Native, Mysticism and many other cultures.

Medical science is even involved in its current evolution, with hospitals and clinics conducting studies and offering courses to patients for practicing meditation mindfulness to reduce stress and the effects that often result in illness. With the scientific community becoming increasingly interested in measuring the effects of meditation, it is gaining validity as a method for beneficially integrating body and mind, and is still providing scholars with a provocative look at how the mind-body interacts with the unseen nature of reality.

People from all cultures and walks of life are finding that meditation as a mind-body practice can help with reducing stress, relieving pain, increasing well-being and vitality, and finding simple happiness. Whatever your individual practice of spirituality, meditation can offer you pearls of great worth. Your reward can be found in any practice, including meditation and guided imagery.

If the concept of meditation is new to you, I invite you to take the time to explore until you find your own way to appreciate this vast world within you, where you make your own connection with Eternal Source. If you already meditate you  know that it doesn’t matter how deep you go or how often you practice; the act of coming apart from the clamor of the outer world brings a simplicity unlike anything else.

You can study and practice for a lifetime, yet each meditation session brings its own truth. In Buddhist tradition this is known as beginner’s mind. It’s a good approach to anything in life including meditation because it relieves you of the idea that you need to do or be or even experience something for your practice to have validity or value.

Not true. While regular practice can even help you unburden yourself from energy blocks, meditation’s greatest treasure is not found by searching far from or outside yourself, but by going silently within to await its clarity. The secret is in just being easy with yourself, by yourself. And in so doing, finding your connection with everyone in the All That is.

I have organized this website in simple overall categories to assist you on this journey (you’ll find Catergoris listed on the sidebar, they are shown in all CAPs):

  1. HEALING: a method of self-healing
  2. ECO-FRIENDLY LIVING: the harmony of spirituality with sharing the planet
